Wedding bouquets need much thought before they get chosen. The bride to be needs to choose the style of the bouquet she wants and the colors of both flowers and ribbons. The colors of the flowers will be appropriate to the dress she has chosen as well as often match the table centerpieces, the bridesmaid’s dresses or the tablecloths. It just depends on what the bride is looking for in her color choices. As well, the bride must consider what flowers are in season during the time she wants to get married. Even after everything is considered the bride may choose her bouquet based on no more than what her favorite flowers are. Or she may decide she wants a bouquet like the one her mother carried at her own wedding. No matter the reasons for her choice she must be prepared to get to the florist early to discuss how she wants her bouquet to look.
There are so many different styles of wedding bouquets to choose from that the bride will need to look at a catalogue to see what the choices are. There is one type called a tussie mussie that is round. It is a style that was very popular about seven hundred years ago. There are contemporary bouquets with are usually more unusual. They will often have some remarkable flower as the centerpiece of the bouquet. Or the bride may choose something extravagant and have the flowers flow down the front with ribbons and roses cascading form her hands. Other times the bride may decide that she is looking for something really simple and that all she wants is a single flower. If this is her choice she is more likely to carry an orchid or a calla lily.
There are other options women will be deciding when choosing their wedding bouquets. They will need to choose between fresh flowers and silk ones. There are advantages to both. With silk flowers the bride is guaranteed that no matter what kind of flowers she wants they will be in season. They will never die which means that the bride will be able to have her bouquet with her as a reminder of her special day for as long as she lives. Silk flowers now even come scented so that they appear as similar to fresh flowers as is possible. If the bride and groom cannot decide which one they prefer them then they can choose to have both. They may want to make all the wedding bouquets, for the bride and her attendants, fresh flowers but choose a silk bouquet for the one she throws when she is about to leave the wedding reception at the end of the affair. They can have the boutonnieres fresh or silk since either will look good on the men’s lapels. Whatever the choice silk flowers will be much less expensive then fresh ones.
Flowers are not the only things that make wedding bouquets beautiful. Most of them will have baby’s breath, the hint of white that is so lovely in any flower arrangement, as well as ribbons to highlight the flowers. The ribbons will be colors similar to the ones that the wedding party wears and be a beautiful accent for the bride’s dress. Do not forget to have lots of photographs taken so that the choices that were made are never forgotten.
