Why not consider a wedding cruise as the answer to how to make your wedding an event to remember? So many couples are looking for something different for their wedding day. They are tired of the ordinary and are looking instead to the extraordinary.  So many couples are looking for somewhere that is not a religious setting, their parent’s home, a restaurant or a wedding hall.  Couples are considering the exotic idea of a cruise more than ever before.  And why shouldn’t they? This gives them the opportunity to have their wedding and honeymoon all rolled into one easy plan!  For so many couples this idea sounds both practical and romantic.

Depending on what you are looking for in a wedding cruise you can have anything from the ceremony conducted on the ship to getting married on shore at some exotic location and then continuing the cruise as your honeymoon.  Or if your preference is to marry on board that can be arranged as well. If that is the option you choose you should be aware of the many alternatives this gives you.  Many of the cruise lines actually have wedding planners that work for them who will offer you an assortment of wedding packages. An example of a wedding package offered by a cruise line would be having the ceremony organized by the liner, including the bride’s bouquet, boutonniere for the groom and a bottle of wine for toasting after the ceremony.  They will even include the wedding cake with a cake topper that you can keep. A small package like this one will often only include the bride, groom and a handful, maybe only four to six, of guests. For an extra fee you can invite more people.

But, that is not the only package being offered on the wedding cruise plan. They will offer the bride and groom anything from the simple package above to a wedding reception after the ceremony complete with a lovely meal, an open or pay bar, champagne for toasting, a wedding cake, dance music and a photographer to record the event.  There will usually be a package price and any guests over the number they offer can be added for a pre plate price.  There are also package options in the middle of these two alternatives. But, this is only one alternative when considering a wedding on a cruise ship. You also have the option of inviting guests to take the cruise part way and have your wedding on the ship, then have a party in one of their rooms, or on shore in some exotic destination. After the party your guests disembark and you begin the honeymoon. For this scenario you will likely have to provide your own person to officiate.

Whatever type of wedding you want, and whichever cruise liner you choose to marry on, their staff will do their best to ensure that your wedding day is one to remember. This option is appealing to more people all the time with one cruise liner recently reporting that they conducted two thousand weddings in one year.  So, if you want something different, something more romantic, more exotic, consider the option of a wedding cruise.
